Oleksandr Lavrynovych: After the Presidential Elections, Ukraine will have a Publicly Elected President, a Stable Parliamentary Coalition and Responsible Executive Authorities
Oleksandr Lavrynovych, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met Ake Peterson, the European Council's representative in Ukraine.
The politicians discussed the election campaign in Ukraine, electoral legislation and Ukrainian obligations concerning European Council entrance.
The politicians expressed their thoughts concerning the international practice of the voting rights of the citizens protection.
"Our meeting was held in the crucial moment, - the President signed the Law "On Election of the President of Ukraine" concerning the polling site commissions work that was adopted by the Parliament. The Law came into force", - O. Lavrynovych stated.
According to him, the adopted norms prevent break down of the election process. The Bill author explained that if all the commission members from the both candidates come to their working places, they will be working with the strict correspondence to the effective law norms.
The First Deputy Chairman specified that these amendments in particular enable the conduction of the election committees´ sittings without quorum 2/3 votes, pursuant to the presentees majority.
O. Lavrynovych also emphasized that the Law regulates the procedure of the decision adoption by the committees in the day of the voting and norms the district polling sites personnel formation principles in order to receive the exact result of the citizens voting.
The First Deputy Chairman also does not exclude that in the end of the election campaign vexed questions would be solved in the court establishments. He reminded that the final judgment would be made by the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine. Its judgments are compulsory and are not subjected to appeal.
O. Lavrynovych is convinced that despite all the attempts to prevent the fair election returns, the Party of Regions this time would protect the citizens will and finally Ukraine would receive the responsible and effective President, stable Parliamentary coalition and executive power.
